Wild Hogs

So we are off for a full day of Harley Riding from Escondido down Pacific Coast Highway
The Wild Hogs are ready to roll Jodie, me, Michaun, Sheldon, sis Amber, and Larren
Jodie looks the part for sure a little different than his old bullet bike of the 90's and the mullet/fuzzy mustache days.
First stop Oceanside where we learn after Jodie turns off the bike the electronic key is long gone and the bike will not start without it. What high-tech crap is that a key that falls out. So we give Will a call the kid who smoked his breakfast and took 1 hour to check us in. Well bless Wills heart he came through and gave us another one. The you didn't give us the key line didn't work but $60 for a new one did.

Mishap #2 last stop in Huntington, got to get the bikes back in 1 hour, Larren left the stupid high tech electronic key on though the bike was off so anyway ran down the battery. CHIPS were no help so we hide, dudes got a jump from a blonde. Yes and we are off but not without a stop at Sprinkles in Newport, and the best Gelato this side of Rome. And believe me I have sampled a lot of Gelato.

Jims Surprise 60th Birthday Party

American Fork Steel Days Parade

This year Zoey and Addi were in the parade for Twisters Cheer. Avery really got into chasing candy and wrestling with the older kids. So much fun for her. Later that day we went and BBQ at Aunt Colleens office on main as we watched the old cars cruise, and then carnival for Avery. She had her hands in the air for the dragon coaster. This 2 year old has no fear.

Diego Animal Rescue

I was going to add more flowers to my planter box under my front window, until I discovered I have a quail sitting on 12 eggs. The very next day I went to check on my eggs and 10 had hatched, one didn't and a baby bird was left behind not looking to strong. Zoey was bawling her head off worried about the baby bird. I called around and found out that the quails leave their nest and they usually don't come back. So now I have a cute baby quail and I want it to live. The only bird rescue is in Price, or Ogden. So I put the bird in a box, and off to the bird rescue. After a hand off to another good animal rescue ranger in SLC the baby was off to his new home. Later when I got home I found out the family had only moved next door under a bush. all that for nothing. I would like to think the mom would have just ignored it and I still saved him. At least Zoey could rest easy..

Zoey Astros

Zoey's first year playing baseball. She did really well and loved it. She was on a coed team with her friend Bethany Pyper with Jodie and Lance coaching. She picked up on it really quick. She said it gave her butterflies in her stomach she would get so excited. She started out having to have baseball pants, but towards the end she traded them in for her black mini skirt, Astros jersey, peace scarf, and black beanie. Ms. Fashion even on the field. Unfortunately I didnt have my camera handy and my dad took her the game. I would love to have seen the crowds face when they saw her get up.

Lake Powell

Cliff (more like rock) Jumping

Hot Babes Julia, Amy, Maggie, Addisyn, and Zoey

So we went down to Lake Powell this weekend. First time on my own without my dad as the navigator. We went down to St. George and then to Page AZ. We have never been that on the Wahweep side before. Day one weather was good and I got a good burn on the backside. I'm still paying for it right now as I sit. We really didn't make it too far. We kept getting lost and didn't venture too far out of the main marina. We did find one canyon that had a few rocks to jump off. That was fun. Back in the day I would have called them cliffs, but now find myself pretty wimpy and will stick to the rocks. Zoey even dared to jump off of the same rock I was scared of. The next day the weather was bad, so we packed up and drove home. It was a down pour all of the way home. So not quite the trip I was hoping for, but will try it again. I have too many good memories and I want to create more with my girls. Maybe my dad can take us down and show us the ropes so we can make it out of the marina.

MOAB

Wall Street
So amazing, I can't believe people can climb this
Delicate Arch

yeah I made it.
UTE writings on Wall Street

We have so much right out our back door here in Utah. I want to start taking advantage and visiting more of out parks like Zion, Bryce. I would like to hike the narrows, so if any of you have any experiences to share let me know. It makes me more excited to go to Lake Powell this week. The kids actually thought it was pretty fun swimming, seeing the indian petroglyphs, hiking to the Delicate Arch except for Addi, she thought we were truly torturing her. Avery was a little trooper hiking 3 miles without complaining. Her baby steps were just a little to slow so we had to carry her some. I can't wait to go back in a few months. This time I need my bike.

Fireman Breakfast with Grandpa Dan Memorial Day

I miss you little brother, can't believe it's been 20 years

This is probably our 6th year going to the Memorial Day Firemans Breakfast. It is becoming a tradition with my dad. We always see Uncle Guy, Jen & Matt, Megan and all their kids. I swear my dad knows the whole entire town folk in AF. This year my Grandpa Richards didn't make it for the first time in a long time. He's 90 so he can take it easy if he needs to. Maybe next year. I miss and love those close to me who we think of often, Gma & Gpa England, Gma Richards, my brother Wade, and cousin Greg. I love you.

UPS WTF!!!

How does the packaging foam self destruct and explode?
The other side was wide open taped.

This TV was sitting on our porch. What did it do to deserve this kind of treatment. You can plainly see it is a flat screen TV, use caution. It was never picked up with care, just kicked around, thrown out of train, and kicked out of a truck. I can't believe they had the guts to leave it at the door. The TV is busted.

Just Do IT!!!! Little Red Ride Logan

Done, I did it!
Finish Line

TGIF Thank Goddness I'm Finished!!!!!

Let's get it started
Well the big day came for my first real bike ride, 67 miles let's just say 70 to round it off. I didn't really plan on doing this since they cut off registration at the end of April 1 month early. I procrastinated and didn't get in. About 2 weeks ago I found a girl who had broke her arm so I was in. With only 5 rides under my butt and the longest one being 37 miles 3 weeks ago I was off. I am really not a person who likes to prove herself or over exert myself physically for any reason. I wanted to take it easy but wanted to ride with Amber. So instead of doing 50 I just went for it. Needless to say after a morning of rain, quit about 1 hour before the ride, some wind ( so I really rode prob 90 counting the wind) Ambers bike malfunctioning barely making it to the start line without a minute to spare, half a bagel in my mouth we were off. WE DID IT. I rode for 4:30 hours. If I train maybe will shoot for 80, we will see. I am paying for it today, my quads ache.

Your way to beautiful girl....

Crews Birthday

For Crew's 2nd birthday we went to Thanksgiving Point Farm, or other wise know to my girls as Day Care Farm. Avery has been there a few times and went right up to the animals to feed them. The baby cow licked her face she loved it. There were so many new baby goats. They are so dang cute. We were lucky enough to see the peacocks show there stuff at the same time. While Zoey was ready to get on the big hore he went nuts and got his neck stuck in the chain. He then got loose and was very mad. It was a bit scary and the assistant didn't know what to do. So a little excitment on th pony ride. Addi was freaked out and didn't enjoy her ride, she was scared that the horse would freak. Happy Birthday Crew!

Born to Bike or maybe just look at it

Amberly and I bought road bikes this year. The only prerequisite for our bikes were that they had to be cute. It is very hard to find a cute bike, or girlie bike. Most are very masculine red, black, white. After a ton of searching we found the perfect match. Love my bike, and Jodie said it passed the quality test. There is a lot of gear that goes into biking, clothes love the spandex with a diaper in the bottom, shirts, clocks, shoes, pedals, helmet, glasses. Finally ready to ride, Saturday we did a 37 mile ride from AF around the lake, to the mouth of provo canyon, back to the lake and home. We are going to ride the Logan Little Red Riding Hood Ride in a few weeks. I will do 40 Amber has aspirations to do more like 60 or more. Not me 40 sounds good. Here we are ready to ride. After all the money you spend to bike, you still cant help but looking like a dork.
